ABOUT ME:
A Life of Visual Adventures.
Born in the isolated Winter Woodland areas of Northern Michigan, I sought escape and fantasy my whole life to combat the boredom and loneliness of country living.
Weaned on comic books, 70’s horror and sci-fi, noir and old serials, women’s fashion magazines and photo magazines. I was an early artist who someday dreamed of moving to NYC and becoming a comic book artist, but my tastes and interests changed with maturity.
My yearning to be a comic book artist changed to a desire to travel and tell stories.
I spent my late teens and early twenties floating around the United States, exploring the Detroit area, New Orleans, California, and New York City, eventually ending up back in Southern California for many years before seeking seclusion and quiet in the area of my youth.
After several years of making movies in NYC, I switched to digital photography upon moving to California. I was looking for a more independent means of creating my cinematic ideas, and wanted to have more control over the creative process.
Eventually, this fan of photography became a photographer, and I have spent the past several years shooting my favorite subjects, nature, landscapes, conceptual pieces and beautiful women.
I don’t believe in censorship in art and I don’t like having to restrain myself from shooting something I find beautiful if it might offend someone, but I have found my desire to create shocking images has evolved into a more organic and natural process.
I can, and am willing, to shoot just about anything so don't be afraid to just ask. I spend my time photographing my muse, Liz La Point, skydiving, writing, and playing with our baby boy.
