At heart, I am a New Yorker but I grew up in Northern Michigan and am currently living in California.
Weaned on comic books, 70’s horror and sci-fi, noir and old serials, women’s fashion magazines and photo magazines, but grew out of wanting to tell super-hero stories to wanting to make movies.
After several years of making movies in NYC, I switched to digital photography upon moving to California. I was looking for a more independent means of creating my cinematic ideas, and wanted to have more control over the creative process.
Eventually, this fan of photography became a photographer, and I have spent the past several years shooting my favorite subjects, nature, landscapes, conceptual pieces and beautiful women.
I don’t believe in censorship in art and I don’t like having to restrain myself from shooting something I find beautiful if it might offend someone, but I have found my desire to create shocking images has evolved into a more organic and natural process.
